GW2 Legendary Assistant ("the App") is an unofficial fan-made companion tool for Guild Wars 2. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Our Data Policy — No Storage by Default

GW2 Legendary Assistant does not store any user data on our servers by default. All data loaded during a session — including Guild Wars 2 account information, material counts, crafting progress, and any other app state — exists only in memory while the app is running. This data is permanently erased when the app is closed, relaunched, or the website page is refreshed. This applies equally to the Android app and the website version.

We do not track browsing behaviour, session history, or usage patterns. No personal data is collected from users who do not sign in.

2. Information We Collect (Signed-In Users Only)

The following data is only collected if you choose to create an account and sign in:

GW2 API Key: If you enter your Guild Wars 2 API key, it is saved to your account solely to restore it on future sessions. It is never shared or transmitted to third parties.
Account Information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your display name and profile picture via Firebase Authentication, used only to identify your account.
Crafting Progress: Your legendary crafting progress is saved to Firebase Firestore under your unique user ID so it can be restored across sessions and devices.
Community Chat: Messages you send in the Community Chat are stored in Firebase Firestore and visible to all users of the App.

3. Advertising

The App and website display advertisements served by third-party ad networks including Google AdMob and Monetag. These networks may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for more information:

To authenticate your session and save preferences
To enable community features such as the Community Chat
To improve the App through anonymous analytics

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except as described in this policy (authentication via Google/Firebase and advertising via AdMob and Monetag).

6. Data Retention

For users who are not signed in, no data is retained — all session data is erased on page refresh or app relaunch. For signed-in users, account data is retained for as long as you have an active account. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
